Default Patriot and Extreme VFT

I am looking at these 2 bows and am wondering what are the diffrences? I know the Patriot has a longer brace heigth and the extreme is a little longer other than that I don't see alot of diffrence. Why then does the Patriot cost more?

hey JimBow i am consulting my 2004 owners manuel from Bowtech, and here are the specs for teh two you wanted.
Patriot VFT
Draw weight 50-80#
Let off 65-80%
axle to axle 33"
Mass weight 3lbs 12 oz
brace height 7 3/4"
draw lengths 25-30"
IBO speed 320-328 fps
Finish mossy oak obsession and target colors.

Extreme VFT
Patriot VFT
Draw weight 40-70#
Let off 65-80%
axle to axle 34 1/16"
Mass weight 3lbs 12 oz
brace height 6 5/8"
draw lengths 25-30"
IBO speed 325-333 fps
Finish mossy oak obsession and target colors.
now under this it says Samson 80-100# in mossy oak obsession. it aprears tha there is an Extreme Samson VFT from 80 -100# interesting...

now also there is a patriot DUALLY VFT which is only different by these stats.
Draw weight 50-70#
Let off 65%
axle to axle 35 1/8"
Mass weight 3lbs 11 oz
brace height 7 5/8"
draw lengths 26-10"
IBO speed 326-334 fps
mossy oak and target colors...

besides the obvious i have no idea why the patriot costs more. there are more specs and teh tuning gap is .425 for teh extreme and teh patriot is .305 might have more fine tuning capabilities...
both bows come with the infinity cam which is one of Bowtechs Best line of cams besides the freedom cam.
i dont see MUCH of a difference... i woudl ask your proshop, they might have the answer youre seeking.

JimBow,
Aside from the spec differences, the Extreme VFT (other than the camo) is basically an unchanged 2003 model bow........the Patriot is all new for 2004. New riser and riser geometry, cam bearings, locking pivoting limb pockets, better overall balance, among the refinements.
IMO the Patriot blends the best of power and quiet/shootability in a hunting bow that BowTech offers.

Thanks The limb pockets and berings are most likely the big diffrence. I think I'll shoot for the Pat. I've been leaning that way for a while.
