Well here's a vote for MZE ,I have it installed on my BowTech Patriot Dually ,I've had it installed for almost a year now and only had to tweek once since I hadn't totally installed it right .But I've hunted in the very cold winfd and snow this year and it worked flawlessly no freezing or breaking and when I needed to draw it worked as it should.

Check out the QAD Ultrest as well. Full containment dropaway rest that will not drop down if you decide to let off. I've never tried the Muzzy, but it seems lots of archers love it.

Golden Key Futura TKO. Awesome drop away rest and on sale (I think) for $35 at Gander Mountain. I have the VBG rest, and while I took the little arrow holder off, it worked great either way.

Muzzy Zero effect,I doubt very much that I would try any thing else,I've tried the whisker Biscuit, and didn't like it.MZE is a simple no nonsense rest.

We have used the GKF TKO and performed great, its easy to setup, quick to tune and is a simple to use rest making it a breeze to setup and use.... not to many parts to complicate its use .
I personally used the GKF Infiniti Dropaway for ASA 3D Competition last year and was so impressed with it that I decided to use it for bowhunting this year and it has performed FLAWLESSLY....... I originally wasnt sure of how it would hold up to the abuse my equiptment takes in the field while bowhunting, but it has held up perfectly... it features screws that self lock so you dont have to tighten down your ajustment screws
I used it to take a Possum, Turkey, Doe and 8 point Buck this season.
I personally cant speak to any other dropaway rests as I have never shot any other dropaway rests only GKF

The MZE was made for the Q2 . Excelent match up , I dont know about the fx but bet it would work well with it allso . I know the Q2+MZE , is a great setup as I hunted that set up for about 3 years , and thats a looooong time for me to stick with anything , considering how often I change gear .

I would suggest the Trophy Ridge Drop Zone or the MZE as well. Certainly the best fallways out there IMO. I've had nothing but excellent results from my DZ equipped rigs over the past couple seasons! The DZ certainly demands a very serious look before you decide on any rest.

A couple of really good rests are on the market. I myself have grown to really like the Trophy Taker Shakey hunter. It is about the best hunting rest I have found for myself. Another good rest is the Dropzone. I have shot both the Trophy Taker & the Dropzone & I have grown to like the Trophy Taker better.

I would say stay away from the trap door.
I bought one early last year and it malfunctioned at a 3-D shoot. The launcher arm was stuck in the up position it would not move. I returned it and got another one. About a week later this one broke to also oat a 3-D shoot. But this time the launcher arm would not cock into the fire position. So bascially I wasted $80 on it. They redesigned it from the model I had though. So maybe the new one isn't such a POS.
For what I would suggest for a drop away is either the Trophy Taker shakey hunter or the dropzone. Both work flawlessly. I have used the APA ultimate twister and have mixed feelings about it. Some days I liked it some days I didnt[&:]
There are some other drop aways I would like to try but haven't yet.
Good luck.

vc1111, I think you are making a good decision by going to a dropaway. I have a NAP quicktune and I definely get better groups with it than I did with a two prong or launcher type rest. I would guess that most brands would give the same results. I think a WB would rob you of speed on downrange shots but this is probably not a problem for hunting.JMHO.
