I would say stay away from the trap door.

I bought one early last year and it malfunctioned at a 3-D shoot. The launcher arm was stuck in the up position it would not move. I returned it and got another one. About a week later this one broke to also oat a 3-D shoot. But this time the launcher arm would not cock into the fire position. So bascially I wasted $80 on it. They redesigned it from the model I had though. So maybe the new one isn't such a POS.

For what I would suggest for a drop away is either the Trophy Taker shakey hunter or the dropzone. Both work flawlessly. I have used the APA ultimate twister and have mixed feelings about it. Some days I liked it some days I didnt[&:]

There are some other drop aways I would like to try but haven't yet.

Good luck.
