I am set-up for Elk and such and use 130 grain Muzzys. Muzzy also makes a 145 grain 4 blade that was just a little to heavy when I tested them years ago. The tip is where the extra 15 grains live.

well if you need a couple to abuse let me know. I have a ton of old ones, laying around...then again I dunno if an old one, after the torture of many mmm mm mmmmisses/targets/heat would cause a bad reading on the testing. I would be interested to see what you find to be the best of the best in the 2 blade cut to the tip. or any of the cut to the tips. I have a couple new snuffers and woodsmans laying around, not to mention a handful of zwick eskimo's I be putting to good use. I could send ya the a snuffer, woodsmen, and ok, an eskimo and maybe a magnus if I can scrounge one up. I know us trad guys would love to hear the results!!!

Lilhunter, I have tested the snuffers. Delta and Magnus made, and several of thier screw in two blades. I have not tested the woodsmans or any of the Zwickeys. I want to thank you for you offer. I will send you an email tonight and we can work out the details. It would be intresting to see how all the differnt cut on contacts do "head to head", no pun intended.<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

Yes, that would be a great test. I have a feeling the Magnus vs. Zwickey will be about the same for the same grain weight. The Snuffers vs Woodsman (3 blade), I don't have a clue which will perform better. A lot of people swear by Woodsman.

Just a little update. I tried the 145 gr First Cut and it flies just like fieldpoints just as they claim. It seems like a VERY durable head and I don't think I will have any problems with it. The only complaint I had is that one of the heads wasn't razorsharp out of the package. I wish I had never tried a mechanical head in the first place what a big waste of time and money...
