Central Wisconsin, I find I see most activity in the last two hours before dark. This is mainly due to how I hunt, I hunt a lot over bait and small food plots. I hunt around the exterior of a swamp, in the mornings I usually end up having deer pass under the cover of darkness, if I moved to the interior of the swamp I'd probably be able to cut them off in daylight but I try to keep out of the interior of the swamp as much as I can.

North Dakota. Early morning is best on the public land I hunt, but evening is better on the private land I hunt(mainly because I can get setup without spooking deer).

For me, the last 1 1/2 hours before dark produce the most deer sightings. Early morning, right after daylight, is good also. During the rut -- provided the weather isn't too hot -- I see deer all day, but I still usually see the most, and the biggest, early morning and late day.

I hunt in Central Michigan mostly hardwoods, cutovers and swamps and have the most success in the evening.

West Central Illinois - Monster Buck Heaven

Last light in evening is when I see the most movement. Second choice is mid morning.
