My vote went to a climbing stand. If I could only have one the versitility of a climber can't be beat.
With that said I prefer to have as many as a half dozed lockons with either removeable tree steps or climbing sticks as well as the climber to fill in the holes.

I like the ladder stands, Some of the other stands are a little unstable for me. Im slightly afraid of hieghts so stability helps a lot. They are also real cheap if you build them yourself. When you build them you can also make them to fit yourself better. The climbers that I have used where real comfortable but the part you stand on was not big enough to make a standing shot. That wasnt too much of a problem since if I can help it I wont stand up.
