Im on the ground. If I need to I'll take a hill. I like more thought and less "junk" to carry.

I absolutely love my climber. The higher the better. 30+ is my perfect height. To look out through nasty thick briar. I could stay all day. For those of you who do use climbers always remember to bring about 3 extra steps with you just incase that perfect tree has an obstical at the bottom that needs to be over come before you can start climbing.

I love my ole man climber, can't beat it because it can take me anywhere. My second choice would be my API lock-ons with stick ladders(very comfortable).

I would prefer to use fixed with steps but, I mostly hunt Public Land and I have to use a climber.Rather not have to haul anything extra in the woods.

I prefer to hunt out of my loc-on, but I prefer to set up my climber... I like the convenience of slipping into the woods and up a tree quiet and easily. I hate screwing in those *#!% steps and hauling that loc-on up the tree.

I wish I could have my cake and eat it too.

I use a climber, ladder stand, and I hunt from the ground. I prefer all 3 depending on were I am hunting. I like the ladder stand if I am watching an open field with little trees like between two creeks. I use my climber if I am back in the woods, and I hunt from the ground if I get into the woods late.

Climber by far but you have to adjust to the surroundings. Some places there isnt'a suitable tree to climb. Then I look for a tree to put a portable stand. If I can't find anything suitable for that, then I go to option 3 which is a ground blind.

Theres very few trees around here that a climber will work on without a lot of pruning! Also my stands stay up year round!
