Which Would You Prefer??
OkI know if its not broke don't fix it.Been using 240gr. Pure Lead Sabots in my 50Cal. drop Deer in their Tracks.
Last few Deer and couple Hogs I switched to 385gr. Great Plains Bullets. It seems every animal I've shot with these has run for a ways after being shot.Very good Blood trail, but still run.
I'm really thinking of switching back to the 240gr. Bullets. What is your thoughts on this?

RE: Which Would You Prefer??
If you were getting better or should we say faster drops using a 240 grain all lead bullet like the Thompson Center Cheap Shots, then use that. Use what ever is most accurate. Shot placement still counts. Never believe that just because the projectile is a large lead conical, that's an automatic give me... Place it and you get it..

If you can use copper clad saboted bullets and you want to stay somewhat inexpensive look at a Speer Gold Dot .452/45 250 grain or if you like the 44 cal in a 50 cal sabot the Gold Dot .430/44 270 grain they have a really good BC... i really should not recommend them because I personally have not shot them (the 44s) but they are on my list to test...
Other than the people above me have covered your question very well...
Good luck....
