yep, thanks for sharing! I really enjoyed them... I'd be curious to know about the specs of your camera and if it eats up batteries really fast as well.

In the next couple years, I will be taking at least one trip to Boone or Logan counties for a week of bowhunting. I understand that's some of the finest south of Canada.
You guys have broke the state record a few times now, right??
Is public land OK or should I start rounding up some private land to hunt?? What should we be expecting as far as general deer numbers and buck quality??
I'm from SW PA, so it's not much of a drive. Probably be setting up base camp at a Motel 8.

Thanks for all the kind coments. All of the trail cam pictures were taken with a Non-Typical DC-200 Deer Cam. I have had excellent results with these cameras. 2 9 volt's will last 3-4 months in these cameras.
Quicksilver- Almost all of the land in these 4 counties is owned by coal companies.
Very little is privately owned so you can hunt just about anywhere. The only thing you have to watch out for is hunting clubs are starting to lease a lot of land here since the word is getting out quickly about the quality of our whitetails. If I were you, I would
hunt McDowell and Wyoming county versus Mingo and Logan. Reason being is the deer population is a lot higher in those counties. Deer population in these counties varies. Some areas have virtually no deer while others seem to have a much higher deer population. One thing is for sure if you are coming here to hunt don't expect to see a lot of deer unless you hunt the rut. The deer are spread out over miles and miles of wilderness so during the rut is by far the best time to hunt here. The quality of our bucks is awesome. 125" to 130" bucks are common here. Most bucks here die of old age. The hunting pressure is extremely light since it is bow hunting only. The buck to doe ratio is almost perfect at 3:1. Which makes the rut amazing here. I have seen 5 P&Y bucks before chasing one hot doe. You would have had to seen it to believe it. However, since the bucks really have to compete for the does here you do see a lot of bucks with busted racks. If you have anymore questions just shoot me an email.

HankFan,
Great pics and I hope you bag that 12 next season. Now, I have a question about your DC-200. How long do the batteries in the camera itself last? I am getting about 30 pics through mine and the camera batteries are dead. I am using DuraCell Ultras with the camera set at 1 pic every 1 minute and the sensitivity at high!

Buck Magnet- I get 3-4 rolls of film out of 1 set of camera batteries. If you are only
getting 30 or so pictues something is wrong. Maybe your unit is not putting the
camera in sleep mode? Something is for sure draining your camera batteries.
