Default Question bout my mathews

I have been shooting alot and i can never get my pins right. i shoot at 20 yards alot and it always hits high, so i move my pin high and it hits good. i shoot again in a couple days and it hits high. is it just me or is there something wrong? i heard something about where it is a new bow, that it takes a while for the string to loosen or something.

Could be a number of things. Inconsistancies in form, loose peep, loose nock set, loose sight, change in anchor point are a few. Are you shooting a new bow or new string? If so how many time have you shot?

Bryan,
What type of nok do you have. On a one-cam bow their is a lot of downword pressure on the arrow at the shot. If you have a nok-point that does not anchor the arrow on the bottom side-say a loop, or whatever, then the string will slowly wear towards the cam, giving a gradually increasing higher point of impact over time. If you shoot 60-70 arrows a day, it might move an inch high every week.

The string should be stretched in about 50-100 shots, usually I set up my bows after 200 shots and might make one minor 1/2 turn after several months-but that's it.

It could be a lot of things like already mentioned. You said that you keep adjusting your sight pin. Make sure you get it tight. It could be sliding down when you shoot causing you to shoot high, but its pretty unlikely. Its probably just you. Make sure everythings tight and make sure you always get the same achor point every shot.
