That is stupid! Why would you walk with a loaded bow? The thing that holds the bow at full draw are called Draw Locks.

hi ya'll my name is daniel and billy is one of my first cousins. As of yesterday billy was still in the hospital but is going to be alright,that is a true gift from the big man upstairs.What happened is still very unclear my mom talked to billys dad and she thought the shooter was using a bow but i am not sure if he had a compoundbow or a xbow (my moms kinda still upset about the ordeal and can't seem to get nothing about hunting right or the accident)so all i can be sure of at this time is billy was sitting in the car or truck waiting for his friend to come out when a arrow came through the window and hit him in the neck .They called for help and when the chopper got there they couldn't get him in because they was not enough room in it for him to fit with the arrow sticking out of his neck so they got a bigger chopper out of minnesota and got him to help.When i find out what happened for sure i will let ya'll know.

Sounds like it was a full size arrow to me if he couldn't be fit into the medi-vac chopper. Which would in turn mean that the shooter WAS using a DRAW LOCK.....ILLEGAL in the state of WI. WTF was the guy doing with it pointed at a vehicle? Why was is still cocked anyway?

i called myself and talked with billys dad,the guy was using a compound bow with just a triger release no drawlock.They think the friend was still in the woods but coming out and a buck ran by and he shot and missed the buck and the arrow hit the car went through the glass and hit billy,he said the broadhead only had one blade left when it hit him but the tip of the broadhead penetrated his vertabra a little.The law is still trying to make sure there weren't nothing bad going on between the two.Billys dad said he knew they were very close friends and he thinks it was just a very bad call on the shot.

I'm sorry to say, but that sounds unrealistic... Is it possible the guy that was in the Driver's seat was supposed to get the arrow instead? Like AFFAIR.. umm.. I know that sounds terrible, but they say, IF YOU WANT TO KILL SOMEONE, TAKE THEM HUNTING...

I mean, who draws a bow and shoots at a running deer and just happens to hit a car? and who has time to take and arrow out of the quiver , nock it and then shoot? AT A RUNNING DEER? I know i wouldnt have time...
