Ok well today i decieded to try n kill a couple of iowa pheasants after school. On my way back home about 20 yrds from the road, in some short grass heres a nice buck walking behind a doe. On land that i have permisson to hunt. Well i pull up in the feild drive way, grab my bow. Take off my orange n throw on my coat. There was a light rain so i thought i had a chance. I parked about 200yrds from the deer. I get about 60 yrds away where i last saw um below a small ridge n start doing the duck walk. I had a lane to walk down. I get to within 30 yrds where i last saw them n take a look. The does about 15yrds away n caught me. I slowly duck back down. Now my hearts pounding. I walk about five more steps laterial of the doe take another look. Does eyes are right on me. I draw and stand right up. All i can see are the horns and head below the small ridge 20 yrds away. Doe figures me out snorts n takes off. Just if the buck woulda been right on her ass. Buck stopped about 100 yrds away and gave me the eye down. Nice main frame 8-10 with a tall rack. I saw him in the same spot saturday at about 12 but didn't even try. I don't have a ground blind, its a grass field with some same trees, not big enuf for a stand. ideas for a still hunt?

I got a camo tent I use for Turkeys. Dying to try it out on the deer. Just havent' found the right set up yet. Sounds like you may have!
