which stand to hunt

Default which stand to hunt

okay here's my scenario.... i have 2 stands i've been hunting this year and now its gettin rut time and i want an opinion on which to hunt....one is in a thick area and i see a lot of does from it but not many bucks...the other is more open but all i see is younger bucks...which do u think i should hunt the next few weeks?

I agree with moose too, the young bucks wont be close to the big bucks that much during the rut. As the bigger bucks make their territory, the little ones scatter off. And most important, find the does and the bucks will be behind. Also sounds like a good area with thick brush. Goodluck to you and show the pics when it pays off

Hunt where the does are unless the wind is dead wrong. Then you're taking a chance of spooking that elusive monster. These guys are 100% correct. Hunt where those does are.
