My favorit rut stand needed to be moved , the tree got blowed over. The only other tree big enough in a spot not needing a chainsaw to trim shooting lanes is a big cottenwood 4+ feet in diamiterat the stump and 3 1/2 ' at stand height .The chain on my stand was too short so I replaced it with a hevier chain rated for 500lb overhead lifting .
My question is do you think it is safe and how you would hang a stand in this tree ?
