For all you guys using the viper does the bar around the seat get in the way when you are shooting your bows?

I have a Summit Viper XLS. The front bar does not get in the way while shooting. If the Viper didn't have the front bar, I would not have bought it. It makes me feel safer (if possible, Summit stands are very safe) in the stand.

i've got a brand new viper and just bought a used ol'man off a guy on archery talk. put the old man out the other day, wow is that thing easy to climb in. if i'd have known i would have bought it new instead of the viper. just my .02. plus when sitting in the ol man, you just feel like any angle is yours with ease.

I have a API grandslam and dont like it. If i had the chance to do over i would buy a Ol' Man, easier to connect around the tree and made in the USA.
