Default Fawns still have their spots

I've seen 5 different fawns in different areas that still had their spots.I saw the first 2 about 4 weeks ago and one tonight.Isn't it a little late for these young ones to still have their spots?

When I took my deer to the processor there was a guy checking in a deer. This deer still had spots. This is the first time I've seen one this late that still had spots. BTW, the guy acted like he was only a boone and crockett hunter and this was a "managment deer". He also told me I was stupid(yes he used that word) for shooting my deer because it was only 2 1/2 yrs old.

It seems late but I can understand why. If the fawn is that of a yearling that was breed durring the second esterous then the fawn was likely born late in the year. It still seems late but possible. I think it'll be loosing them now in pretty short order.
