No deer here, but I must shamefully admint that I haven't put enough time into scouting this year due to work.

Hope to hang my stand this weekend, but until then, it's ground blinds only.

No skeeters here, but LOTS of rain[:@] On a good note, the Gander Mtn Waterproof camo did it's thing!

I have been hunting in Northern New York near Watertown since Sept. 27. I had a left over deer management permit for my area. On the 27th, I had 3 deer about 20 feet from the base of my tree. I had my Parker fully drawn and the pin on all three. The biggest one was probably about 60 lbs. and he was a button buck. I kept watching for a mature deer...to no avail. I decided to let down the draw and wait for a larger animal. I have had no other opportunities. From my experience, the deer numbers are down in my area....others say the same. The Department of Environmental Conservation continues to hand out "nuisance permits"....even though many hunters who get them can't find a deer to shoot at!

Oh, by the way, the mosquitoes have been ravenous!
