Thinking about turkey hunting with a bow this spring. My normal setup for deer is to use 125 fixed blade broardheads. I have heard people recommend mechanical broadheads or backing up with a washer behind the broardhead. Any suggestions? Also, is a blind necessary? I have shot 2 in the fall from my treestand but never from the ground. I am aware of how easy it is to spook them with a little movement so I would like to hear how others have dealt with it.

I believe in the expandings, however the weight isn't important. I use the Rocket miniblasters that weigh 78 grains. I've never used a blind and have shot 15 to 20 turkeys. Just set up in front of some cover with some trees that they'll have to walk behind so you can draw.
