man, you guys are killing me with all the stuff you take in the tree with you. I guess if I was going to sit there all day long I'd take some of that stuff, but I'm a minimalist. My bow, flashlight, EZ hanger, book to read, cell phone. All this can fit in my pockets. That's usually it. But I'm usually hunting for no more than 2 or 3 hours at a time at the most.
Toting all that other stuff around would wear me out.

besides the essential knife and drag rope; bino's,a flashlight, calls, rattle bag, screw in hooks to hang backpack, 'bright eyes' tacks, pruner sheers, small wood/bone saw, batteries, extra knife, set of allen wrenches, broadhead wrench, two way radio, cell phone, latex gloves(don't mind the mess, but they keep the hands dry and warm)- snacks and drink for an all day hunt.

My current theory: If it don't fit in my cargo pants / jacket, It don't go.
- License / tags with twist ties
- Mini-Mag w/ fresh batteries and fresh bulb in end cap (in belt holster)
- Folding knife
- Bone / limb saw (in belt sheath)
- 25' strong rope (in cargo pants pockets)
- Some form of entertainment (book, magazine, etc...)
- Thermos of coffee if cold
- Buck grunt / the Can
- Cell Phone (turned off)
I usually hunt from the ground so no harness needed. Usually put a 10 ft piece of camo burlap in a 5 gallon pail around thermos, and entertainment. (Keeps them quiet) When I get to my ground blind, I can wrap the burlap around me to stay warm or fold it up in front of me to put my feet on to reduce noise of leaves, twigs, etc. Sit on the bucket upside down against a tree and I'm good to go!
If I have to pee, I usually just go near my blind. No adverse effects so far!

Fanny Pack, and contents ie..knife, knife sharpener, tags, license, headlamp, folding bone saw, digital camera, stocking hat, extra set of gloves, nylon rope, small first aid kit, extra release, fire starter and snacks and water if needed. Binocs, I use the bino system for carring them, I wear a hands free bowgrunter plus grunt. I hang my fanny pack and alpine bow quiver. I keep an arrow nocked and hold my bow.
