Martin's "sex sells ads"
Did anyone happen to but the Oct/Nov Bowhunter magazine. Martin has one their "women sell bows" ads on the back cover.
If you look closely they have the limb bolts backed right out so she can draw the bow I guess??
I like the chick but IT is NOT gonna make me buy the BOW.

i didn't see the add but the truth on the issue is sex sells. Weather its shoe laces or bubble gum sex appeal is a big factor. I have seen several other bow products use sex appeal as an advertising strategy. I haven't really bought any of the products because of the advertising however i have cut the adds out of the mags and have em taped up in my apartment. Makes for great interior decorating, expect to see me on the next "While you were out"

I believe that's the same ad where the arrow is a few inches too long as well.
Martin is using pretty girls to sell their bows. Why? The quality and performance must not be there.

Agree w/ everything you guys are saying...but the fact that we are talking about it is all Martin wants. I guess you could "pat" that marketing boys on the back for this ad campaign.

by golly, there is a bow in that ad.
i personally don't mind the ad at all. if they are going to show someone shooting a bow, i personally don't mind if they show a woman and she's easy on the eyes. i don't see anything wrong with that. it's done with EVERYTHING that is marketed to guys.
