Stealth cam pics from last week
#1
Here are a couple of pics from my cam from last week. As I mentioned earlier, I'm having a problem getting the subjects in the middle of the pics. A lot are off to one side or the other. It just seems like the camera takes to long to wind up and take the pic when it detects movement.
I did get a decent little what apears to be an 8 pointer on film and another of a single doe.
Here is the buck:
Kinda hard to see his horns, but I think he's the same buck I've seen numerous times while scouting feilds with a spotting scope.

If that buck was standing directly behind that needle tree, he'd look like a 38 point instead of an 8 point. I think you can see enough of his rack that he's a decent buck though! Good luck getting him to lie down this year.

what kind of game cam do you have? Some have a delay (leaf river trail scan) which causes just about any moving animal to be off center. One that works real good for me is a trail timer photo hunter.
Nice looking buck though. This year I have hundreds of pictures and I've only got 2 bucks in pictures. A goofy looking 3 pt and a spike. whoohoo! [:'(]. I probably have 30 pictures of the 3 pt.

Here's a little bigger pic of this buck.
This is a Stealth cam cheapo. I'm getting addicted to this pic stuff though. I think I'll be investing in a digital by spring.

I have that same camera, actually I have 2 of them. Anyway, I had the same problem with the deer being way over to one side, so I put 2 peices of tape on the motion sensor. The problem is the the sensor is to wide, so it picks up motion way out on the edges. I used electrical tape, and I put it on the outer edges, and then I tried that for 1 roll of film. I moved the tape in a little every time, until the deer were in the middle. Hope this helps.

hey muzzyman just wanted you to know that if you are getting a digital sometime do not get a stealthcam digital. i had one and it ate the batteries so fast that many times i would go check it in the woods and it wouldnt even turn on. I sent that camera back and got a Cuddeback instead. i am fully impressed with this camera. its definitly the one to get.
