Default 3rd week Gander Indoor 3D, (Pics) & 4th week.

Well I took a couple pics so you guys get the gist of our local Gander's 3D indoor league. They shot paper then they set up the 3D targets.

30 yard indoor, 5 targets. The deer is target one, center 12, the bear is target #2, center 12, the coyote is target 3, low small ASA 12, the boar is target 4, low ASA 12 and the javelina center 12.

The first week I shot a 314 which put me in 3rd, 2 out of second and 16 out of first, the guy who I finished second to last year shot a 330.

The second week I shot a 332, 32 up so did the first place guy and my buddy Nate who was in second shot a 340. So I was still 16 out of first and now 10 out of second. Tonight I shot a 334, gained two on the first place guy but my buddy Nate shot a 342 which put him up 4 in first, I'm now 14 out of 2nd and up two on the 4th place guy whose magic pencil scored him very well. I was watching his arrows, somehow his score doesn't reflect what I saw. I was previously up 6 on him.

Looks like fun, is this their only "league" or do they have shoots throughout the year?

Looks like fun guys, I'm really jealous. I've got 3 weeks till our first local 3D, and I'm chomping at the bit to get outside. All I can do at this time is shoot 10 yards in my basement and wait for the DL mods to get here.

Hey Rob....

Looks likea 28 and 29 yd shoot out. Don't get me wrong.....I'm jealous.....butit sure looks like they'd mix up the yardages a little. I'm betting thescores might not "necessarily" go UP. Move those low ASA targets to about 20 yds and dare shooters to hit the 12 and you might get more 8's.

So you shoot 3 arrows at each target.....and go through the course, twice?

Like I said.....I wish I had it, here. Looks ike fun.

It is pretty much a 28-30 yard shootout. They don't need to move the targets up to tempt us on the low 12 rings, I shoot for them deliberately anyway, at least with the second and third arrow of the first one is a good marker.

Jeff, when you come shoot at Miller's with me next weekend. It's a 30yd range, and there isn't any of this silly center 12 stuff. . All of our targets are Rinehardt low ASA 12's. It's a blast Jeff, we have some small fun targets....like a Poison Frog, Mosquito, Wolverine, and everyone's favorite....A strutting turkey . There will be 10 targets, and you'll shoot them twice. The winning score will probably be in the 18-28up range. Occasionally there will be a break out round from 30-44up on 20 targets. 14's are definately in play and get pounded. The winner in bowhunter will usually range 10-22up.

It'll be fun Jeff....I can't wait.

4th Week:

Just shot the 4th weeks Gander 3D.

I shot a 332. I shot 10 of the first 15 12's and couldn't get the 12's (6) the second round. I dropped no 8's this night.
