what are your tactics for opening morning

really opening morning i just enjoy being back in the woods...

in the evening though, i am one of the few people who really likes early season hunting, the deer are unpressured and predictable for the first couple weekends

i too like to just enjoy being in the woods and viewing the wildlife. I like to pick a good stand close to food and water, and just relax.

I'm also just gonna sit and relax, although I don't know yet if I'll do it in a tree stand or on the ground.

1. Wake up and eat a big breakfast!
2. Drive to hunting location
3. Finish my coffee in the car and take a whiz before walking out to my spot.
4. Walk out and park it under a tree for a few hours.
5. Shoot 150-60 class buck.
6. Come back home happy

ya i like AJAXs plan sounds real good to me LOL.

just plan on getting out away from work...hunting the first few days hard and try to get some meat for the barby.
