Big DD, nobody ever shot that eight pointer. We started watching him come in the yard in 1992, as a 2 1/2 year old six point. He lacked brow tines. I don't recall seeing him in 93, but in 94 he was a huge eleven point. Seven on one side. And those pictures that you see on my site, he was that magnificent for five years. That would make him over ten years old. And remember, this is a deer that's from the wild, where there is quite a bit of hunting pressure. He came back in 2000, and you could see that he had declined, but now he had an awesome back tine, making him nine points. We saw hime one last time in 2001 before we moved 12 miles away. We never really put forth too much effort to tag the animal. It was always such a thrill to watch him come in after rifle season....many times the day just after season ended. Kind of like part of the family. He sure was a neat old buck.

Don't take this the wrong way JV, but the 3 or 4 decent bucks I see were killed over 6 years. Throw out the shed rack because of spred interpitation and theres not a lot there I would spend my money on. Especially since I can just drive up and stay in the local motel and hunt your public areas on my own. Were any of those deer taken on drives? For me you could remove those from your credentials too. Enjoy what you have. I wouldn't quit my day job though.
