To get to the stands I'm going to hang this weekend one is about a 1/4 mile from the road and the other you need a boat to get to.

Depending on which stand I hunt it is anywhere from 200yds to 1/2 mile. I'm willing to walk further if it means a clean enterence and exit.

I hunt the elusive Suburban Bucks

My answer may be somewhat misleading. None of my stands are more than 300 yards from where I park my vehicle. Not because I have an issue with walking but because the area I hunt has roads criss-crossing it every which way.

It depends on where I am hunting. If I am hunting public ground, I walk about 1 1/2 miles. If I am hunting my private farm, I walk about 1/2 mile.

I walk about 200-250 yards to my stand. I have 6 stands on the property I hunt, and the most I walk is 300 yards. It is a real easy walk. No hills or valleys.

Depending on how the previous night went I can either hunt 100 yards in back of my house, go to my cousins and walk a quartermile to a stand, or drive an hour and a half and walk over a mile with a climbing stand straped to my back[&o]. All are great hunting spots it just depends on how far I can walk early in the morning.
