some bucks out of velvet!
We were glassing some fields in the state game refuge last night. There were 2 absolute monsters and a 140 class together. All 3 had polished antler. It was to far for a pic or I would have taken one to post. We saw 12 bucks total. The rest were still in full velvet.

I had 10 bucks out in front of me this past tuesday night and all were in full velvet! This was by far the most bucks I've seen at once! All the way from a spike with one side to a monster. They all came into the field by size as well, needless to say I was pretty stoked!........still stoked! Come on Sept. 18th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was out filming last night, everything here is still in velvit, small or big. I saw the Albino buck, the large nontypical, and whole new huge nontypical, along with countless little bucks. All in velvit. Usually between the 1st and 3rd of september before I see one out of vevit here.

They're startin' here in western New York too. Of the 8 or 9 bucks I saw last night before dark...only one appeared to be polished up and he was a really big bodied 3 yr. old 8 or 9-pt. He was the only older buck that I saw. Most of our bucks should be out of velvet within a week to a week and a half. Last summer I got some nice footage while spotlighting on Sept. 5 and almost every buck we saw was polished up.
