Default Wierd hunting tactics

I was curious to see if poeplo have done even wierder things than i have to get that big buck or whatever else. One thing i did last year was, id gotten permission to hunt this one place that held some monster deer.after scouting it out, i noticed they used this one field very heavily, but, the only cover was on this side where they hadded flooded for duck hunting.well, i wasnt going to just watch the deer, so i made a plan. The timber they flooded had some good size trees in it and since it was just recently flood, i new the trees would be stable to hold me. So i took my stand and placed it in the water about 10 yards out. This was the only place to put it and because of the lack of cover surrounding the field and the way the wind always blew, i had to wade through the slough about 300 yards to get to my stand. So, i was huntin deers in waders 15 feet up a tree. Pretty funny lookin also.
Another thing was, when i was like 7 or 8, i began bowhunting for rabbits and squirrels and just about anything i could find. Well, My uncle gave me this great tip that if i walked backwords the animals would think i was walking away and they wouldnt get scared. So i tried it, It worked on one squirrel, but thats because it was sittin in the tree(laughing at me probably)my uncle and dad thought it was funny also.
One thing that really works is when you see geese way far off, and you dont have any wind for your decoys or you dont use flags, you can run across the field waving your arms and jumping up and down while calling(please leave your gun on the ground while doing this)ive had this work quite a few times, and it gets great laughs from the other guys.
One friend of mine had another deer hunting problem, there were no trees in his area. But there was a sand bank, so he dug a good sized hole in the side of the bank and just sat in it, he got a deer to.

I would really like to hear some of yalls wacked out hunting tactics. Thanks

The weird thing is I don't see anything wierd about your hunting tactic. <img src=icon_smile_shock.gif border=0 align=middle>

I think the jury is still out on your &quot;walking backwards&quot; scheme though. My theory on that it has more to do with eye contact and distance rather than walking backwards and fooling critters.
