I,just about 97% of the time, hunt with 1-2 of my buddies. But it's a different story when we get in the woods. We split up,with as much as 1/2-1 mile between us.We use two-way radios to keep in touch at pre-determined times..Bob

;) I love to hunt with my son, Joe. If he cannot join me I stay on the ground to still hunt safely.

I would love to have a bunch of buddies to hunt with, but unfortunately, I just go at it alone. I mean, don't get me wrong.... I have plenty of friends. I have plenty of buddies. It's just that they all don't hunt, or are ex-hunters (i.e. they just sort of drifted away from it and gave it all up over the years).

I mostly hunt alone. Although I do enjoy the occasional gathering at my buddies camp. ;)

Just like everything I do in life - I would prefer to do it alone.

I love hunting camp!

I do like the social aspects of hunting, sharing stories and laughs. I get a lot from the "old timers" that I share camp with. I've known those guys since I was knee high to a grass hopper but when I hit the woods I feel my best percentages are when I huting alone in the manner I choose. Durring rifle season they coorinate hunts and to me I'd rather be in a well scouted out tree stand with my bow in hand. I feel the odds are in your favor when you keep the impact on the woods to a mininum.

Fishing, Now that's something I like to share. The more the merrier;)

I mostly bow hunt alone or with my Dad. He's dropping off dramamtically in the time he hunts, so I'm alone mostly now. I enjoy hunting with my Dad, but I am also really liking the solitude and freedom to hunt where I want without keeping tabs on him.

While I love the fact that my son has hunted with me since he was 12 we actually only hunt in the same areas a couple of times a year any more. He has a broken wrist that will eliminate him form bowhunting this year and I feel like I lost my best friend yet we both hunt totally different property 99% of the time. I actually find myself in the same situation as BUTCHA. I'd love to have a group of people that shared the same intensity for hunting that I do but there just isn't anybody out there. I think the main thing is that you do your best to get out of your hunting the things that you enjoy the most whether it be solos or with friends.

I prefer to hunt alone and then meet back with family to discuss the day's activities.

I recently bought some land with some other family members, so hunting solo is going to be much harder.
