Early Oct travel Routes

RE: Early Oct travel Routes
Depends on your area. Usually in my area they have broken thier summer patterns about a week or 2 before the season comes in. Maybe a couple still left on summer patterns, but its rare.

The october lull does not exist. most hunters just can't crack the pattern of the deer. They go from feeding openly in the fields to very reclusive, only heading out when its dark. the bucks do not disappear. They pretty much stay in their core areas. you wont find them far from their bedding areas. set up near the bed room on a trail leading out to the food source. to figure out where they're going, find the rub lines that the bucks lay along their most prefered travel routes.
In early october, the bucks wont be looking for does very much. not until about the 20th orso in northern states. the deer will be broken up out of their bachelor groups, but i have seen bucks together in early october. most of the time they will break up during the rut and about late novmeber they will join back up. The october lull is basically a myth. considering theres quite afew bowhunters that dont take to the woods until mid october, or at least around here its that way, hunting pressure is lighter than during the rut. try not to get too much into the bedding area, as you could seriously spook the bucks in there.
