I used stuff last year called "deer crack" I believe it's similar to deer cocaine and it only attracted deer. It worked really well and I will be using it again this year!

1 50lb bag of di-calcium phosphate
1 50lb bag of plain stock salt
2 50lb bags of red unmedicated trace mineral salt.
I can't remember who on this site gave this to me. You can buy all of this from a feed store. Not hard to find...check out the internet if you don't know where one is.
Take an old milk jug and cut off the bottom. Take a scoop of each bag and mix it together. Mix it as evenly as you can. Dig a hole in the ground about 6" deep and about three feet in diameter, and pour it in. About every couple weeks go back with a shovel or pitch fork and stir up the dirt again. Although you don't need to do this....because I never did.....It is supposed to work better. I put it down about a year ago. As of 3 weeks ago the deer still visit the site.
You can also mix a box of yeast in the to aid in digestion. You can also mix in corn or some apples or apple flavoring to help attract the deer. This works very well and you get 200# of it for around $20-$25. Compare that to deer cocaine or any other mineral licks....pretty good deal if you ask me.
Just a suggestion for you. I enjoyed doing.

Rice Bran.....ya know its for horses but I went out on a limb several years back and found that is irresistable to deer.....it attracts coons to but anything you put out will attract coons.....cept sour corn for hogs
