I hope you recover and get out in the woods to enjoy bowseason.
I dont think it matters what arrows you shoot. If you dont check them once in awhile things may happen. I agree with the above comments too on the plywood probably was the cause of your problems..............

Ditto Buckeye... I shoot Cabelas Stalker Extreme's and have had great luck with them. The only time I had one shatter is when I overshot my 3D and hit the only rock in my whole dirt backstop which also bent the shaft of my Muzzy.

Don't sweat it. Your lucky that was all you messed up. It's only August and unless your 40 still living with mom, your young and will bounce back quick. The real season is months away when the Rut begins. You will back to shooting then. Your love life might suffer though.
Good luck

i had not shot that arrow into the plywood before it went into my hand. all i can figure is that i had damaged it last season and hadnt checked it for damage before shooting. and as far as shooting into ply wood, i knew after one shot the arrows would be trash. they were too short for my new bow and i wanted to get rid of them..yes, pretty stupid not checking for damage before shooting them. i learned my lesson on that one. thanks guys, good luck to yall this season

BTW- took the wrap off it last nite, and the stiches look fine. im going to have a one inch scar though. my hand is still very swelled, and its still numb around the hole.

Thanks for clarifying DS_37. Hope all is well with the hand, Sept.18 is just a month away. Sure felt like the rut was gonna start last week the way the weather was, I'm just up the river from ya.
