zak: i've never heard anything of that from a mathews pro shooter..my uncle is best friends with one of their guys in marketing and he tells it straight..

highdesertwolfguy:i highly doubt they cut cornrs...Outdoor Life had them as the second best new bow on the market..so i dont think theyre cutting corners and riding wave

Wow, this has been on funny post.

I will say that there are Mathews guys that say Mathews are the only good bows, but there are also Hoyt, Martin, BowTech, BuckMaster,ect..... shooters that say the same thing.

Shoot what you want. For me, its BowTech, as of now, this is what I like, it fits me and that is all that matters.

I will say that some people on here go over-board with bragging about bows. I just saw this last week on a post of a guy with a big buck and someone made the comment "Chalk another one up for a Mathews" NO, chalk another one up for the hunter! The bow brand really didn't matter to the deer!

It is ridiculous how some people refuse to see that there are other quality bows. Sure, you should be proud of your bow, everyone here knows how much I love my Liberty, TO ME, it is the best bow! The thing is, I know that there are other awsome bows that are perfect for someone else.

hahaha well I posted this to find out how other mathews hunters had their bows set up and how they like it. So i could compare my set up with that of other mathews and get little tips about mathews. Instead a heated debate about bows started haha got to love it. By the way i drive a jacked up dodge and shoot a mathews whats it to ya

I agree with most of the people here that the bow you should shoot is the one that feels the best. When I went bow shopping this year I wanted a top of the line bow. The choices were Mathews, bowtech and hoyt. I never liked split limbs bows for some unknown reason so I instantly elimanted the hoyts,. The closets bowtech dealer was an hour away and I didn't want to drive that far so it limited it to mathews. Well I shot the Outback and I was so impressed I bought it two days later. To me it is the best bow ever built but others may not like it. I guess what I'm trying to say is I could care less what bow you shoot I just know for me mathews fits me best and I will be shooting it for a long time

The thing is , that even Mathews shooters know there are plenty of other awesome bows that are perfect for someone else , we just dont pop in on every bow brand thread to remind everyone of the obvious.

Over the past thirty years or so I've shot Ben Pearson, Bear, Jennings, Martin, Golden Eagle, Hoyt, and Mathews. My last two bows have been Mathews, a Legacy then now an Outback. I've come close to picking a Bowtech but the dealer where I shop, the Bowtechs are more expensive.

My current rig is set at 64 pounds, shooting Carbon Express arrows. A Vital Bow Gear 3 pin vertical sight, a NAP 2000rg drop away rest, and I use a True Flight release.

Oh, and I drive a Chevy Silverado....not sure why that matters????
