speed difference in helical and straight fletch?

just wondering what kind of speed difference everyone gets if you use helical or offset fletching as opposed to straight fletch. Thanks.

straight offset fletching creates less spin, but also less air drag
helical creates more spin and more air drag
out of the bow the speed will be the same.....
more spin = better downrange performance
mare air drag = worse downrange performance
with one or the other it will make very little difference because they both have charecteristics which are better and worse than the other. I have shot both out of my bow with no change to sight pins out to 80 yds.

I was discussing this issue with my buddy the other day which is what prompted the post. He said his straight fletch was noticeably faster than the helical. I disagreed and so we did the test. Same bow with the same arrow, only different fletching (helical vs. straight). The straight feather was 1 fps faster at 2 yards. I will be keeping my helical. Turns out I will be refletching his arrows too.
