Never have with a compound, but i did shoot a crossbow for the first time in december when my partner got it for chrstmas and he didnt know anything about bows, and apparently neither did i, i shot it with my fingers a little too high and that string with 150lbs went across my 3 fingers, and remember it was cold outside. that was a pain i will never forget! It hurt hard, and it hurt for hours i could have cried.
