Default deer attractant

was looking for a good deer attractant for my new stand site I just set up. What works best for you guys to really attract deer. Wildgame innovations has a bunch of stuff from pro-lasses to buckbran. I also thought about deer cane or buck grub. Any advice would be great.

I used stuff called deer crack last year with great success. Its not the same consistincy or appearence as the deer concaine but I believe its the same concept. It also works good in a shooting lane to get deer to stop and take a whiff.

i second zukidude to an extent. use what ever is in your area. if there are apples use them if there is honeysuckle, lay a pile under your stand. i have even gathered acorns from another area and piled them at my stand. funny i know but it worked. i came back two days later and the acorns were gone. deer can smell acorns a mile away

Setting up my stand near a travel route to a natural food source or water source.

I'm with Bowfanatic. Do your homework and set your stand according to travel routes. Don't just put up a stand because it's convenient or it looks like it might be a good spot, and then throw down some bait and expect a mature buck to show up. Chances are it won't happen. Staging areas, natural funnels, and water sources are a few great attractants to start with.
