Default Best Deer Attractant

Well i am going to the Sportsmans Wharehosue today and i am wondering which mineral or other attractants work the best. Its for blactail deer not whitetail although they prolly work the same for them. I have tried Deer Cocaine and that seemed to work.........okay.
But i want something that the deer really crave.

thanks

We make our own....

1part sodium bicarb
2part trace mineral
1 part dicalcium phosphate

The "parts" can be anything.....Coffee cans, 5 gallon buckets...whatever, just as long as it's that ratio. They tear our licks up every year......Big holes in the ground I tell ya....

Very inexpensive and you can make ALOT of it....

Apples. I had a sweet deal for a while where the local grocery would give me all of the apples that they were throwing out. When they sold out I lost my hook up, but it was nice while it lasted.

Any old feed store or farm supply store.....There's nothing special about them and you can get them most anywhere.

I have used pure vanilla extract in the past. Its not really one of those attractants that you put out months ahead of time. Get to where ever you're going to be hunting that day and spray a little bit around your stand and on the surrounding bushes.

The first time I did this I had had 2 does come in right beneath me and they were licking the bark off of my tree as well as eating leaves off of the small trees too. Recommended for preseason only.

Molases works great. You can use the liquid molases and dump it over old stumps, deer will dimolish the stump. You can also pour it over apples, corn, what ever else you might want to feed. Youc an also get some of the powderd molases from your local Co-Op and mix that in with corn, apples, deer pellets, etc. Molases is cheap and easy to come by. I by it by the gallon from our local co-op for 1.50 - 2.50a gallon depending on rates. You can alsomix the dry molases with water. Experiment for a good texture. You dont wantit too thin or too thick.
