Deer attractant
OK --other than corn I need a good attractant- off the shelf. My feeder I use is about 60 miles away. I went down yesterday to find the new battery I put in 2 weeks ago was dead, and the corn had started to grow at the bottom because it hadn't been spinning. What a mess! I can't put 50 lbs 0r 100 and hope it's there the next Saturday.

RE: Deer attractant
Corn or dry soybeansare going to be the most forgiving thing for moisture you can put in one. The pelleted deer feed will be worse, I guarantee. Sounds like you have a leak in your feeder if it got enough moisture in there for it to sprout. Try a On Time Fatboy ( I saw them on a site on sale for about $50, just Google). The 9 AA batteries are suppose to last a year. Make sure the moisture problem is fixed first. Welcome to the board.
