Rocket Broadheads? Sharpness?
#1
I'm thinking about shooting Rocket Sidewinder 3 - 100 grain 3 blade mechanical heads this season. The only nocks in th past I've continually heard is that Rockets aren't very sharp. Is this still true? I thought I saw a post somewhere that they changed their processes and they are better now.
Any truth to this?
Thanks

I am unaware of their process, but I have had tremendous success with my steelheads, right out of the box. Passthroughs on all whitetails I have shot with them and one medium sized black bear.

Mine have worked well right out of the package. I have sharpened them before though, after shooting a deer and finding that the head was undamaged other than a skinned up blade edge. Try a cheap hand held kitchen knife sharpener. Remove the blade and hold it with pliers. Works extremely well with little effort.

I shot rocket hammerheads , and steelheads with good results , i killed all my archery deer with them , then i switched this year to montec G5s they fly jsut like the rockets , but sont lose KE on impact .... but rockets are a good head , that give a SICK blood trail
