Boy this makes me mad!!!
I took my sister and my couson out in the field to see if we could see one of those does or a buck. We got back in the house at 8:00 Cuz we didn't see nuttin. I went back out at 8:30. When I walked out there I seen 2 does (I could swear one of them was a buck cuz I thought I seen antlers) so I got down and started crawling up a lil bit. I took my digital camera with me so I could get some pics of them. I waited and finally they walked about 40 or 50 yards from me and started eating the corn we put out for them. I started taking the pictures. They seemed to like the flash. [&:] After about 20 pictures they caught on that I was there and walked off. I got back in the house and put them on the computer and the pictures SUCKED. They were Dark and you could hardly see them. Boy this makes me mad!!! Next time I go out do try to tape them my mama said I could bring her video recorder. But atleast I am getting to see them.
P.S. I coudln't even keep the camera steady I was shaking so bad. LOL

If you've got a mental pic that should be good enough. I also like to share what I see but your seeing deer and that's good. When you arrow one this fall you can take and share all the pics you want. We'll be waiting

Yea I know me seeing them is all I need. Plus I know what time they go in there. (around 8:30) and it is still legal shooting hours for about 10 minutes. BUt the only reason I want pics or video of them is to show my grandma, cousons.

Any time you use a flash on a camera, it only has enough power to light up a distance of about 15-20 ft. max. After that the lumination of your flash falls off quickly. That's why I tend to chuckle when I see hundreds of flashes going off in a stadium at a sports event because there not doing a thing. The reason the photos come out is that there is usually enough lighting on the event. So, if your taking pics of something past 20-25 ft. you need to make sure there is enough available light.
