still hunting the corn

does anyone still hunt the corn before going up to your stand in the early season? before the corn is harvested? just wanted to know if you all had some tips or some advice before i get out there. thanks

Well there are several key things to still hunting corn:
1. A windy day is your friend.
2. Always hunt into the wind.
3. Never step into a row until you have verified there are no deer in either direction.
4. Once you have spotted a deer in a row back off several rows downwind of him before starting the stalk in his direction.
5. Once you are parlell to him stop, do not move until you can see him. then only move with the greatest of care and only when the wind is blowing.
6. Stop and never move again if there is an opening you can shoot through and wait for him to step into it.
Everything is slow.....the wind is key.
