well i dont know if you seen that hunting show on the out door network the other day. but u know how they read email questions after the hunt. well one question to them was y are they hunting in side a very tall fence and that this bothers them. his awnser was its not an enclosure its an out closure. we have a very good habitat inside this fence and its better than outside the fence. and the deer outside of the fence want to get in here cuz of the good habitat we created. so what the fence does is keep them out.
i say that u just made ur self look stupid!!!!!!!!!1

I saw the show. It was hunting with Keith Warren. Didn't make much
sense to me. Inclosure/outclosure whatever you want to call it it's
still a fenced IN area. He said something like this is what it's going to
be like in the future. Not for me it's not. [:'(]

The only way that you can hunt deer inside a fence that was put up to keep wild deer out is to either open the gate occasionally , or stock the pen with tame deer . You might as well be hunting cows . What a buttmunch ... [&:]

The fence does do what they say.... but it's REALLY there to keep the pets in and a secondary benefit is keep poachers out. Outclosure is a word they made up to be more Politically Correct in the hunting world if you ask me. They use every opportunity to convince us that hunting in a fence is game management and just like real hunting.[:'(]

We have a ton of 'exclosures' around here in the National Forest. They fence off small tracts of land(usually recently logged, but not always) and make sure no deer reside within. Then they monitor the regeneration for a few years to see how overbrowsed the ANF is....then issue DMAP tags all over the woods so we can kill as many deer as humanly possible. Then we do it all over again next year! And the next....
I didn't see the show recently, but I think I've seen it before. I will not ever choose to hunt in a pen, but I also will not try to take away someone elses choices. He has a point, those pens are kept to quality standards unattainable in the wild from what I've seen(on shows and whatnot). The deer are usually bought or raised/bred to be trophy class....they don't want 'normal' deer mixing in with their $$$ genes. That doesn't mean I consider it hunting at all(I certainly don't) or that I think it's right, but that isn't what this thread was supposed to be about!

I don't think Keith Warren could kill a deer if it wasn't inside a fence...oh sorry inside an "outclosure". LOL . That show is one of the worst.

You might as well go to a zoo and hunt if you ask me!
