I gotta jump in here and say Barry Bonds is a jerk when he's into the "zone" just ask his teammates. Unfortunately Barry's zone is all season long BUT!!! His bat doees the talking for him. Ditto on C Adams and his hunting prowess.

Dirt2 - By your reasoning, any GREAT at any sport/game has cheated his way above and beyond the other. Is this or is this not a correct assumption ?

Dirt 2, I just want to let you know who my circle of hunting friends are. My good friend is one of the guides who has guided Chuck. My brother in law is the producer for North American Hunting Club and has been in hunting camp with Chuck and is friends with Greg Getchow and Jim Shockey. Both have met and worked with Chuck. I myself have hunted with Chuck in Canada for a week and had a blast. He talked with people in camp, shot bow and discussed archery and bow hunting. He is very knowlegable about the aspects of bow hunting and hunting equipment. If you want the scoop on the Montana wild life and voice your thoughts about the possible escape or letting loose of game farm animals, I am sure the Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks would be happy to talk to you. There phone number is 1(406)247-2940. This is the Billings regional office. I also have many friends who are hunters and who hunt around the area where Chuck hunts and one of them told me that they saw a bull that might even break Chucks new world record, he guesses it at around a 440 class bull. It is not on the land Chuck hunts, so maybe someone new will get a new world record. Also the area where these elk are being hunted has not been hunted for quite a few years and has not been hunted hard for the past few. The elk get time to grow and mature.

I do agree it is time to put this to sleep. I just want you to do some research before you make allegations about my home state and that the people in it are cheaters and some how sly and untruthful. ie slipping elk through the fence for Chuck to shoot. You might just have to meet Chuck someday to make up your own mind. Not everyone likes him but when you make allegations as you have, you should have proof and not theories.

Dirt2,

I only speak for myself, but I have a feeling it's true for many here. You descibe our support of Chuck as some fanatical thing.
Yee haw! Are you really so hypnotised by modern media outlets that your little brain circuitry goes haywire after seeing Chuck Adams' face for the 100th time? "Chuck Adams is great, Chuck Adams is god ... WHAT! Some heretic suggested he's a mere mortal, ARRGGGGGHHHHHHH! All fellow zombies join me, the reputation of some guy I don't know from Adam (excuse the pun) is under attack. Let's get them!"
None of that stuff holds true for me. I'm simply one of those who believes in the basic goodness and honesty of man and I don't immediately distrust anyone who has done amazing things. Give me proof, not theories, and I'll quickly jump to the other side of the fence. However, I'm not going to trash a man's reputation based on supposition.

Maybe I've just seen too many attacks on every person who has ever taken a world record class animal. I sincerely doubt that anyone who has taken a world class animal in the last 10 years, has done so without enduring some extreme skepticism, most of which is shown to be nothing but rumor. Sometimes rumors start from one guy's theory that gets interpreted by another guy as fact. It just rubs me wrong.

all hail to chuck. he has achieved some incredible feats.i would be happy to come anywhere even remotely close to one of those animals he has taken.if you are allowed or have the money to hunt those kind of places and put in your time you could pull it off just as well.ill take my little southeast texas piece of real estate until then who knows maybe someone will slip a 200 inch buck through my fence.

Well, go ahead and draw for the tags Chuck draws for and go do it. Put in the 250 plus days a year he's hunting, or studying about hunting, or shooting etc etc. Build your career to a point you have the money to do what he does. Divorce your wife and/or never have kids because he aint got time for that - he's hunting.

So yeah, do all that stuff and assuming you have a God given ability to hunt/shoot like Chuck and you have a chance to do what he's done.

But you're not going to do that, and none of us are going to do that. THAT is what sets Chuck apart from all the rest of us - he's dedicated to hunting above and beyond anything you or I can imagine.

I love him

I contend that you don't have the same addiction, or you would find the time and the money. Those are just convenient excuses that everyone gives. We all have our priorities, and for most of us, hunting is high on the list, but not to the exclusion of all else. For a few, like Chuck, it comes before anything else and they find the time and and the way to earn the money. Even so, money and time are the smallest and easiest part of what he has done. One still has to put in the amazing amount of work, planning and practice. This is one reason why I don't find his accomplishment so impossible. I mean, who heck has even tried to do what he has done for the past 20 years or more. He appears to have made it his life, his sole purpose that he's completely dedicated to. It's not hard to imagine why no one else has come close to his accomplishments.
