I used to go through about 3 or 4 a year, but
a wife, 2 kids and a new house have put a
halt to my spending. The only one that
I havn't been able to make myself part with
are my High Country Supremes (I have three),
I love them. 2 camo and 1 tournament color

To keep up with the bows now days is like computer shopping. You have to buy a new one every 6 months to have the latest and greatest. Myself i usually keep a bow for 4-5 years. Shooting a Matthews now.

I just bought a new Martin Jaguar Magnum. My last bow was a Bear Whitetail II, and it was 12 years old! Go that long between bows and you can really see the advances in technology!

ALL THESE NEW BOWS BOAST ABOUT THERE SPEEDS THERE GETTING AWAY FROM THE FUNDAMENTALS. tHESE NEW BOWS ARE NICE SHOOTERS, BUT THERE WERE DAYS NOT TO LONG AGO WHEN ALL THERE WERE WAS RECURVES, WE HARVESTED DEER THEN. wITH ALL THESE NEW BOWS PEOPLE ARE TAKING LONGER MORE NON-ETHICAL SHOTS. I'LL STICK TO MY HIGH COUNTRY EXCALIBUR (210 FPS) ALUMINUM ARROWS. thE DEER DOESN'T TASTE BETTER WHEN ITS SHOT W/A CARBON ARROW SHOT AT 295FPS!

A comment on the carbon arrow 295 fps thing, just cause a person shoots carbon's doesn't mean they are shooting for speed, and a long shot isn't unethical unless you aren't practiced or confident about it. We've been through this before. So on the note of new bows per year. Well it's been about 2 years since I bought a PSE coyote recurve. Now Im getting rid of it, and will save the recurve shooting for olympic style, and use a compound for hunting. I have no idea what compound I will be getting, but merlin, champion, and a few other companies are on my list. As for new bows, I have a new riser (Merlin Apex), new limbs (Hoyt FX) on the way along with CT Mckinney's and a beiter plunger comming as well. I will be making a money order and buying a beiter centralizer soon. Right now Im close to $2000 for equipment and maybe over. So the compounds will have to wait.
Good shooting all.
Dylan
