Need tip on removing stubborn tree steps

the wrench works really good. don,t leave the steps in.one day someone may hit the step while cutting wood and thats no good.

I am going to take a gander and guess you were using Ameristeps? Thats besides the point I suppose, but those are steps I will not use!

If all else fails use a torch to heat up the step. I highly suggest a damp day so no accidently fires get started. Also don't get them red hot or you will remove the temper. just warm enough to expand them a little and loosen soften the sap.

i'm not sure what kind they are i have 3or4 different kinds.it works good for me.

I use an ajustable wrench on mine. Slide it on the vertical part next to the tree. Just don't let it slip and knock you on the head! I also weld nuts on mine and carry a socket and ratchett.
