I don't have a problem with the way anyone hunts as long as it's legal. I don't want anyone telling me how to hunt and I am not going to try to tell them how to hunt. I don't have a problem with the way Rack hunts and I don't a problem with guys like Len that kill 25 a year. It's not for me to judge anyway. Unless, it's land that I own or lease and then it has to be my way or the highway. Typically, that will exclude the shooting of young bucks and killing the prescribed number of doe on the property. Overpopulation isn't really a issue here so I have had leases that we restricted the number of doe that were killed while others you had to kill X amount per membership or get fined. It all depends on the property and the plan that myself and the biologists come up with. Even then we "prescribe" a certain number of doe per membership and let the individual member decide whether or not he will require the guest to take a doe or not. Other than that particular situation I don't try to regulate how anyone hunts and I say more power to all of you and good luck this season.

I agree with Silent, I could care less about someone else's hunting style. If you don't kill does, thats fine with me. The reason I chimed in was some comments from others saying they don't kill does b/c they don't eat deer meat.
That just doesn't seem right. But, to each his own.
And by the way, I think anyone that won't eat deer meat is a big ol' open face roast beef sandwich!! If your a Jim Rome fan you will know what that means. If your not a Rome fan, your a open faced roast beef sandwich.

And in conveying your theory you accused buck hunters of being selfish and unwilling to share the burden of balancing the herd.

Explain to me how cherry picking only the big bucks and not doing your part to keep does under control is a good thing..........under strict QDM guidelines.

That is why I do not shoot does!
Thank you!
We are talking about killing a perfectly edible free roaming deer under normal circumstances. In that case why kill it if you are not gonna eat it? Pretty simple
Thank you!
Why are you thanking me??
I don't care if you shoot a doe or not............in fact I prefer you let them walk right on by...........so I can shoot her

That's it.
Atlasman, you need two screen names because you contradict yourself constantly. No more replies from me. (or maybe you have no short term memory, and can't remember what you just said two minutes ago)

Show me where I said that it bothers me if someone doesn't shoot a doe.
You can shoot 1 or 30 for all I care. I have said that a million times.

4 pages worth of arguing, boy I'd hate to see something that you did care about.

Who is arguing?
BTW the post that began the current discussion was at the end of page 4.........so it's really only about a page and a half.
I guess 4 sounded better though

Why are we still talking about this same subject? Some people believe in it, some dont.................cant we all just get along? However if u hunted on my property u had to shoot a doe to get a buck and the buck better be a 3yr old or older before you shoot. I am just now getting my spot to hold and average130 p&y bucks after 15yrs of hunting it.

I'm a hardcore QDM guy. Actually I'm a TDM (trophy deer management) guy, and yes I have a problem with guys who dont kill does and I also have a problem with guys who kill 1 1/2 - 3 1/2 year old "bambi" bucks just because they want to tell there buddies that they killed a buck.
There a TDM guy said it, like somebody requested on the last page, so now can ya'll stop whining and talk about something else??
