Is there ANYONE on here that will absolutely NOT shoot a DOE?

Nope! if I have a tag for one ,I'll shoot her .I'd sooner hunt buck's but I'll take a doe to fill the freezer first.

Bucks and does are about the same to me. I'm not saying I don't want to shoot a monster buck. I am just happy with what I get. I won't shoot little ones though.

I shoot all the antlerless tags I can fill waiting on a wallhanger to come along. I won't shoot little bucks anymore I try and leave those for my son or dad who just started bowhunting.

I hunt 3 states every year I only shoot 1 doe in each state no matter how many your aloud. But I take the first legal buck by my stand. And head to the next state. I hunt mostly with the bow.

This year my county is finally Zone T so i can use my Zone T tag that comes witih the license instead of having to pass up does because i have one either sex tag. i hope to shoot both a doe and a buck this year. the last 3 years with a gun, i've killed at least 2 does per seaon. killing does, especially ones that are mature and can produce up to 3 fawns is very important for controlling the population.

With all the stress on QDM these days I certainly hope we don't see ANY posts from folks that wouldn't shoot a doe. HOWEVER, I would like to see plenty of folks that wouldn't kill a yearling buck though!!! "Take a doe so the herd won't grow", that's the IDNR motto for statewide QDM. Good luck to all you fellas this fall.

i will always shoot does. most people are so committed to shooting a buck that there are way too many does where i hunt. now if a buck does walk in front of me i am still going to take him. but i will not watch does walk buy b/c i am looking to tag a monster buck. i also think along with IL-Cornfed that people should let yearling bucks walk buy!
