Default need opinions on dropaway on bowtech

i just bought a trophy taker shaky hunter and put on my 04 mighty mite and the directions said to attach the cord to the down cable but my bow has a piece on the cable slide like it was intended for the cord of a drop away rest and that is where i put it and it seems to be shooting good but i was wondering if anyone else has tied thier cord there or did it by directions.

We've had plenty of guys mount them in that manner - in fact - they were trying to get me to put one on my Hoyt so I didn't have to serve it in to the cable....

You shouldn't have any issues...

That is exactly where I mounted mine on my new Bowtech Patriot Dually. Works great there. Good luck.

Here's a little trick to make it work better.

DH21 My Proshop tied mine to the down cable when they set up my bow and it works great. I have the same slide you do so there must be something to it. But if it is working good for you don't change it.

I have mounted it both ways on both the Liberty and MM VFT. I did not experience any problems with either position though I found the cable slide more convenient. However, I do remember reading that some folks were experiencing fletching contact problems with the cord when it was attached to the cable slide. I cannot verify that though as I never experienced it.

you shouldn't have any problems with the way you mounted it. Bowtech built that into the slide for that very reason.
