Default ANYONE USE LUMENOKS?

THINKING OF TRYING THEM, BUT HOW WILL THE EXTRA 22-25 GRAINS ON THE TAIL EFFECT MY ARROW FLIGHT. DO I NEED TO GO FROM 100 GRAIN BROADHEADS TO 125 TO EVEN IT OUT?

I shoot them and love them. It shoul only affect your arrow weight by about 18 grains. Mine fly like darts at least out to 40 yards anyway. That's as far as I can shoot in my back yard. I also have arrow wraps on my arrows so add another 10 grains on top of that. I shoot feathers instead of vanes though, so that offsets the weight difference on the tail a bit. They are awesome and I won't have a hunting arrow without them. They look especially awesome at dawn/dusk.

Make sure that they are legal where you will be hunting. In Idaho it is illegal to use any battery powered or electronic item attatched to your bow or arrow. The luminoks are battery powered. Don't know of how many other states have banned them, but look to make sure you can.

Why do you think they would ban lighted nocks. If anything I would thinkl they would see it as a plus for seeing which way the deer goes if the arrow stays in them.

The rule was in place before Luminocks ever were released. It came about because of an item called Sur-Trak. That item was a microchip that was inserted into the broadhead, that upon impact of an animal is dropped into the animal and can be located with a locator. This to many people defied "fair chase" and it was then outlawed. Many people were afraid that people would just fling arrows to be able to "dump" the chip so that they could then follow the animal until they could kill it. Therefore, any bow or arrow containing an electrical or tritium powered device is illegal in Idaho.
