No less than 400 hrs a season. Man you should hear my wife talk about me and hunting. I dont play golf or anything else but hunt. And when I hunt I hunt. For atleast the first week of bow and gun season I stay on stand from daylight til dark. She says Im crazy, Ive never doubted her either.

If I went out everyday during deer season (meaning I hadn't yet got my deer) I would spend just shy of 220 hours on stand.

That's just deer season.

I figure 14 hours a day (4:00AM - 6:00PM) x 4 weekends a month for two months.

Now with Bear and Elk added to the equation I'd say around 300 - 310 hours.

I have NO idea.

I dont think I should even try to figure it out, if I did my wife might have something to say about it.

About 75 to 100 hours last year, hoping to double it this year

I spent over 300 hours last year in a stand while bowhunting whitetails. The funny part was on the first day I hunted in November 4 hours into the season I harvested this:




I spent the next 296 hours on stand and never got another shot at a mature buck!![:@]

30 days 4-6 hours a day, call it 150 hours of watching small doe, buttons, and spikes stroll in and out of my shot zones. Loved every minute of it.

I would have to guess between 80 - 100. Sure wasn't enough.

Oh boy, I can even fathom. I like the idea of keeping a hunting journal. I am planning to do a little better record keeping this year.
