What an a$$hole thing to say........you started this stupid topic and now you cry when you don't get the response you hoped for
No that's merely an honest and appropriate response to your insinuation that I was looking "for your apporoval to poach".

No.......what you want is someone to say it's OK for you to poach deer after shooting hours are over because in your mind you should still be able to shoot.
See the above quoted qoute The thread was started to hear peoples opinion and to draw some of you folks that think your are qualified to judge others, out into the open. I prefer to know who the hypocrites are

Well, it obviously concerns you since you are trying your best to justify your actions with the "everyone else does bad stuff too" defense. In your book 2 wrongs make a right I guess.
Flip it into to whatever works for you. You're obviously feeling bad about being pointed out as the hypocrit that you are, so now you are trying to turn it personal and say that I am looking for justification yadda yadda. I don't blame you if I was getting spanked like this in a debate I would try to flip the issue also[:-]

And you got people's opinions..........don't ask if you are gonna cry about the answer
Yea, it's called a debate. You see how it works his someone makes a comment and the other makes a rebutle. I am not "crying" about anything. I am merely pointing out the hypocracy in your views[:-]

I stopped reading so I don't know exactly what has been said but IMO you are a poacher if whatever you do is outside the hunting laws and results in you harvesting or wounding a deer (Shooting late, early, illegal equipment or tactics etc). Unsuccessful attempts is still poaching.........so just because you didn't kill one doesn't mean sitting in the dark TRYING to kill one isn't poaching.........it's just unsuccessful poaching.
You certainly have your right to your opinion. I can't think of anyone in this forum whose opinion I would care less about, but you are welcome to it. You're a criminal in my opinion so why would I care what a criminal thought?

Your opinion...........fine. So why do have such a problem with other people saying anyone who breaks poaching laws is a poacher??
The problem I have with it is people being inconsistent and hypocritical. But I don't need to tell you about that, do I

who is guilty of the same thing as a poacher?? You asked about poaching, not being a crimminal. If you want to say everyone is a crimminal on some level fine but that doesn't mean they are the same as a deliberate poacher. A petty thief is not the same as a murderer........a jaywalker is not equal to a rapist.......and all misdemeanors are not equal. Try getting a job with a speeding violation vs a gun charge or a theft charge and see which one works better for ya.
Oh so now you're qualified to say which laws are OK to break and which aren't. I see I am starting to see a pattern here

Nobody said that just following the game laws makes you ethical........but when you are out on what amounts to an honor system in most areas due to limited enforceability and you knowingly choose to disobey the laws because you know you won't get caught..........that says more about your ethics then it does your legal mindset.
No, but what they did say was that breaking a game law made you a poacher, no matter how ethically right it was.

Why don't you call your local DEC and ask them if shooting deer past legal hours is poaching??
I have. G&F officer said he wouldn't enforce the law unless a light was used. If you can still see then go ahead and shoot

Then whine to them that they sped to work that morning and rolled through a stop sign so they shouldn't be allowed to enforce poaching laws
I'm sorry that didn't make any sense, so I can't respond to that one[&:]

To me, poaching is:

Tresspassing
Hunting out of season
Hunting at night with a light

All other infractions I would not consider poaching.

No.......what you want is someone to say it's OK for you to poach deer after shooting hours are over because in your mind you should still be able to shoot.
I didn't mean MY approval specifically..........just approval in general. It's called reading comprehension, you should try it sometime

See the above quoted qoute The thread was started to hear peoples opinion and to draw some of you folks that think your are qualified to judge others, out into the open. I prefer to know who the hypocrites are
Anyone is allowed to have an opinion about what they consider poaching no matter if you like it or not and definately has nothing to do with how fast they drive.

Flip into to wahtever works for you. Your obviously feeling bad about being pointed out as the hypocrit that you are, so now you are trying to turn it personal and say tha I am looking for justification yadda yadda. I don't blame you if I was getting spanked like this in a debate I would try to flip the issue also[:-]
I'm sorry.........you will have to explain to me how I am a hypocrit for pointing out that shooting a deer after legal hours is poaching.........something I don't do and you do??

Yea, it's called a debate. You see how it works his someone makes a comment and the other makes a rebutle. I am not "crying" about anything. I am merely pointing out the hypocracy in your views[:-]
It's not a debate..........it's a whining podium for you to cry about others not approving of your poaching. You knew what everyone was gonna say BEFORE you even posted and you are trying to somehow make people feel ashamed for your poaching because they went 33 in a 30 zone 2 years ago. If your poaching is eating you up inside so bad that you need the approval of others maybe you should just stop doing it.

You certainly have your right to your opinion.
Apparently not if I coast over the speed limit going down a hill.

I can't think of anyone in this forum whose opinion I would care less about
Then you look even dumber for asking for it............"I'm still waiting to hear from some of you criminals.......Atlasman (and others)" If my opinion means so little to you then why cry when you don't get it?? I think you are so desperate for validation that you will seek it anywhere it can be found.............the problem your encountering is not many people willing to pat you on the back for being a poacher.

You're a criminal in my opinion so why would I care what a criminal thought?
Your a criminal AND a poacher so why would ANYONE give a squirt of piss about what you think??

The problem I have with it is people being inconsistent and hypocritical. But I don't need to tell you about that, do I
What you keep missing is you didn't ask "When does a bowhunter become a criminal" You asked when they become a poacher..........then tried to invalidate those opinions as high and mighty because mostly everyone has broken a minor law at some point in their lives. You are so dense that you are trying to point out the hypocrisy of a criminal calling someone a poacher..............but you (as a poacher and criminal) calling others out is somehow different right??

Oh so now you're qualified to say which laws are OK to break and which aren't. I see I am starting to see a pattern here
No one said anything about any law being OK to break..........your umbrella covering all laws as equals is purely assenine........not to mention a poacher is as low as you can get in a hunting community......kinda like being a child molester in prison. Have fun in that club Silent.......don't drop the scent free soap []

No, but what they did say was that breaking a game law made you a poacher, no matter how ethically right it was.
I never said that. Breaking a law trying to or actually wounding or killing a deer is poaching........not realizing your hood is covering your back tag is not.......even though illegal.

I have. G&F officer said he wouldn't enforce the law unless a light was used. If you can still see then go ahead and shoot
Sure he did.........so you can sit in your stand all night and shoot anything you see as long as you don't use a light?? Yea right

I'm sorry that didn't make any sense, so I can't respond to that one[&:]
You have a problem with anyone who has ever broken any law pointing out your poaching........so the DEC guys shouldn't be able to enforce the poaching laws on you either if they have rolled through a stop sign at some point. After all, they are criminals right?? How dare they.

atlasman,

I didn't take the time to read whatever you said because I don't care. I am not going to stoop to mudslinging. You act like a spoiled little child that when he's not getting his way he wants to get personal and throw insults etc. and there's no point in wasting that much time on you

I had already decided that I was done with this rediculous post when I read the above statement. Talk about hypocritical. You are the one that named myself, atlasman, and a few others, in one of your posts, calling us out, and calling us criminals. You assume that sometime, somewhere, we've broken a law. That makes an ASS out of just U. You asked a question, and got two types of responses. One was peoples opinion, and that's fine. They are entitled to their interpretations. The other was the law. That's not up to interpretation, except by a judge/jury. You don't like the law aspect of it, so you ignore it and take the others opinions, which makes things hunky dory for you, and call the rest of us criminals. I won't call you a poacher, until after you're caught, tried, and convicted.

You're the ones that started throwing around the term poacher. If you say that you have never broken a law then you're lying. There is no assuming to it. That's just calling a spade a spade. EVERYONE has broken the law at some point whether on purpose or accident.

You asked a question, and got two types of responses. One was peoples opinion, and that's fine. They are entitled to their interpretations. The other was the law.
I didn't ask what the law said. I asked for opinions. Some of the opinions that I got were judgemental and hypocritical in my opinion therefore I choose to debate them. I don't see where calling someone a criminal for breaking a law is any different than calling someone a poacher for breaking a game law??????????? I guess you have never sped, turned without your signal, or failed to yeild?????? If you did then you broke the law. Doesn't feel so good to have judgement passed back on you does it[:-]

I won't call you a poacher, until after you're caught, tried, and convicted.
I don't care whether you call me a poacher or not. But I'll go ahead and call you a hypocrit. As far as I am concerned you have already been tried and convicted of that

I don't care if you pass judgement on me or not. Everyone here sees what kind of jerk and hypocrite you are.

EVERYONE has broken the law at some point whether on purpose or accident.
Another uneducated assumption.

If you say that you have never broken a law then you're lying.
Again, you're assuming something you don't even know. And calling me names to boot. How adult.

But I'll go ahead and call you a hypocrit
Oh my, my feelings are hurt now.

I don't care whether you call me a poacher or not.
I still won't call you a poacher, because I don't know. But I will call you a jackass, because that's obvious.

And stop winking at me. I don't go THAT way!

Well that's it. I don't know what I am going to do. Danny boy thinks I am a jerk and jackass Well I guess the one thing that may pull me through is that the feeling is completely mutual. As for you speaking for everyone else, that's pretty impressive. YOu must have the god complex. You're perfect (never broken a law) and you are omniscient That's a pretty impressive resume.[:-][:'(]

Another uneducated assumption.
Well then show me an adult that's never broken a law and prove it.

Again, you're assuming something you don't even know. And calling me names to boot. How adult
Prove to me that you have never broken a law and I'll take it back and apologize until then you're human and you have made a mistake.

Oh my, my feelings are hurt now.
Sometimes it hurts to hear the truth. Sorry, that's just the way it is

I still won't call you a poacher, because I don't know. But I will call you a jackass, because that's obvious.
I won't argue that. I never said I wasn't.

And stop winking at me. I don't go THAT way!
It's a sarcastic wink. You seem to be reading WAY to much into this or wishing, either way so seem to be awful sensitive about it. I apologize if I stirred up any old feelings.

atlasman,

Funny.........you cared so much before that you were calling me and others out because we weren't replying fast enough for ya.

I am not going to stoop to mudslinging.
Yea, you would never do that Poaching yes.........mudslinging?? No way!

You act like a spoiled little child that when he's not getting his way he wants to get personal and throw insults etc. and there's no point in wasting that much time on you
TRANSLATION-------You got yourself in over your head and now looks like a good time to jump ship before you make a bigger fool of yourself. As if that were possible at this point.
